From Press release of Vodafone,

"Vodafone today(21st May 2007) unveils its first Vodafone-only branded ultra-low cost consumer handsets, the Vodafone 125 and Vodafone 225, aimed at providing millions of people in emerging and developing markets the opportunity to access to the benefits of mobile technology for the very first time."

Look at the images of Ultra-Low cost images below,

They also quote that the price would be between $25 - $45(approx. Rs.1000 ->Rs.2000)

The made a statement about Indian Mobile market after they have bought Hutchison Essar, for $10.9 billion recently. So next step seems to acquire mobile handset market with Hutch service.

"...In markets such as India or Tanzania the cost of purchasing a mobile handset can be one of the key barriers to accessing mobile services..."

So Indian Mobile lovers going to surely enjoy this for ultra-low cost mobiles and Hutch service. This is a very healthy competition between mainly already in Nokia and Motorola. Being the first time in Indian Market Vodafone is going to be Fresher to Indian Market but seems to be Experienced in judging Indian Mind.

So we can expect soon Motorola and Nokia to reduce the Handset price or whatever.. We have to wait and see...!!!

Cheers to Vodafone!!!
Cheers to Indian Customers!!!

E-Waste?

I'm very proud to participate in Blog Action day. I always had thoughts in my mind about environment in the blog. Thanks to http://www.blogactionday.org for providing me this great opportunity. OK. Let us talk about E-Waste. Being an Indian, I'll talk about What is it all about? and what is the status of it in India? Obviously my first reference about this in Wiki, "Electronic waste includes computers , entertainment electronics , mobile phones and other items that have been discarded by their original users. " Due to lack of time.. I just introduce you guys a web-site http://toxicslink.org/ which has so many articles about the environment... I request all of my readers to read and understand and think ourselves to take necessary steps. If i get time I'll post more about E-Wastes and Environment based articles more. I'm just wondering how Google's blogger allowed to have such things...? Is it really possible to pre-post the blogs even before the WWW & Blog was created? It left me to research when was really WWW created? I just searched on Wiki, to get the answer.., From Wiki, "...The World Wide Web was created in 1989 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee from England , and Robert Cailliau from Belgium , working at CERN in Geneva , Switzerland ..." Hope Wiki is not lying to me... ;-) . Hmm... So i thought Blog must be created after WWW was created... I guess you might be guessing the same.. some research vaguely shows, from wiki, Usenet was the primary serial medium included in the original definition of the World Wide Web .
